Analysis: Thailand's 'people's revolt' is not quite as billed
Tue Dec 3, 2013
You didn't spend enough time there. Go live there for at least 3 months. You will see that the smiles tend to be superficial, the values are extremely materialistic, and "farang," or foreigners, are privately regarded with contempt and sense of entitlement, often as walking ATM machines.
Katy Perry's geisha-inspired AMAs performance stirs controversy

Exactly. I love how these fools complain about the "appropriation of Japanese culture." Have they never been to Asia????!!!! Every aspect of modern Japan, Korea, and China are appropriated from America and Europe. This includes fashion, TV shows, movies, music, commercials, …
Michigan man claims he told US where bin Laden was
Sat Nov 2, 2013
@PTBYRD: I suppose the moon landing never happened, Obama was born in Kenya, and the NFL is fixed. Isn't it curious that conspiracy theorists never teach at Harvard or Oxford or Stanford and never have real credentials? Isn't it curious they love using logical fallacies, asking rhetorical questions, …

Sexist driving tips by Beijing police spark outrage
Wed Oct 30, 2013
After a decade of living here, I can definitively say that this description of women drivers here in China is UNCANNILY true. The male drivers have their own set of horrible habits. It is a nation of poorly trained new drivers, with a societal lack of concern for the well-being of strangers.
Julianne Hough apologizes for blackface Halloween costume

I agree with everything you say, except for the ending. "Accept your faults..." Why do you assume white people of 2013 hold the same views of people 40, 50. 100. 150. or 200 years ago? That's just illogical, as is the assumption that an entire race of people thinks the same way. Is …
Jerky treat mystery: Nearly 600 pets dead; still no source, FDA says
Tue Oct 22, 2013
For those who have never lived in China, rest assured that this is how things work here. The hazards are everywhere. Too many people in this country of extremes frankly have no concern whatsoever for other people. It is blindingly obvious on a daily basis, and it is sociopathic.
Oregon man walking cross-country to honor his dead son gets killed on Colorado highway
Thu Oct 10, 2013
I don't understand how so many people get hit on the sides of highways. What are these drivers doing? How often have you driven into the emergency lane, much less at the highly uncommon moments when someone is standing or parked there? I think there needs to be an investigation. The driver should b …

Fri Oct 4, 2013
It was racism against Asians. The breaking into the SUV and pulling that father out and beating him was a hate crime.
You've got money: Hollywood scribe Ephron made fortune on stock market
Tue Oct 1, 2013
Why is a woman's success always footnoted as occurring in "a man's world"? And who ever said that writing is a man's world, anyway? Most of the editors in New York have for decades now been women.
